Yes, I remember that nice Barlow, Duncan!! (Maybe Camillus made it????) It's nice that old Case knives pop up here, every now and then!Thank you Charlie.
That's interesting about Case subbing out work- yet not surprising.
I can't keep my eyes off the Scout in the middle Charlie- Ultimate Red Bone with Stunning Jigging and that mean Punch - I like the finger nail both hands in that punch as silly as that sounds.
To add, I think you displayed that amazing almost orange Red Bone Scout when I posted a wonderful Spear Point Barlow with the same- very Orange / Red Bone which I thought was very nice!
It seems those beans have been around the whole 73 years of my life!!
And I still like them!!
The knife is a lot younger, but I like it just as much!!
P.S. I just googled them, and they have been around for 140 years!!!
yum!
Pretty fancy for a little guy! Slant bolsters, and amazing bone at 3 1/4" long.

Charlie- really? I wouldnt have thought and still didnt suspect when you mentioned Camillus's involvement with Case - it would be gret to know the era- down to the actual years that Case subbed out to Cammilus! mmmmmm.
I must grab it out and have a good look at that this afternoon and try to do some comparisons!
That's why it's important to check the expiration date.
This knife MUST be rebirthed as a SFO with GEC. -
Oh Yeah TOTALLY agreed Jake-waynorth - Charlie- could you place this on the list of your up coming SFO's
, How many are there now? I would HATE to imagine just what patterns you and we would like- in 2 minutes we could rattle off MANY!!!
I bought one of the Camillus-made Case scouts retail not too long ago... don't remember when but probably more than 10 years ago
Case in point!!
Red, redder, reddest!!

I posted this on the Sunday thread, but really should have posted it here.
The Camillus is a 99 but not marked on the tang, Camillus being lazy again, maybe a parts knife near the end of Camillus USA life.

That Trailhand is a great looking knife, Buzz.
Here's a Boker version with a few miles on it!

I've never seen synthetic handles with that much wear on them. Both blades still have nail nicks, and I think they were never snapped off; just zealously worn and sharpened!!
