Let's see your "sneaky" family knives! (Asp, Big Sneaky, Scorpion, Sneaky Pete)

That is an impressive group Peter. I knew that you would really like the balance on the Big Sneaky. You better add another Guard Owl to watch over your growing collection. :)

Phil

Thanks Phil......you have a good eye to be able to gauge balance from a photo. You did nail it !

I have added a new level of security to provide aerial surveillance just in case an intruder comes on property ;)

SUPERB collection Pete --- man that big sneaky is a stunner; not to mention the fine fine collection of asps and SPs! And yes, I've heard that lavender is an effective means to deter the scorpions ;)

Thanks Will.....I keep going back to look at the photo of your African Blackwood SP......sweet taper & nice liners.

The Lacewood swedged Asp is indeed a fine example of a more tactically oriented blade. It's what you'd want on your hip if ever threatened. It's amazing how it feels in 3/16" 01 steel.

Yup .. very nice assortment - but the Big Sneaker in emerald green shadetree is da bomb diggity.

Hey Bud......I like how she looks when it's wearing the pants you made for my Duke. Not sure if that would be considered cross-dressing, however, that sheath swings both ways ;)

Mine is TT with neon green liners against nat liners .. but I thought it was more forest green vs the emerald green seen on Pete's Big Sneaky.

That's what I meant forest green, kept getting those 2 mixed up. Mine has yellow and nat. liners.
Thanks.

Yep -- that pinecone is downright stunning; nice knife Rusty! By the way, it was good meeting you at Blade'14!

Thanks, Will. It was good to meet you too. You looked like Edward Scissorhands with all those fiddlebacks you were holding that morning.

IMO that's the best big sneaky to come out of the fiddleback shop.

Nice collection A2. If that Ruby SP is from the Fiddleback Friday a couple of weeks back, you snagged it just before I had a chance to, although your piece with the trinity pin-out trumps it.

Do you have any thoughts on the new pommel shape? It looks like you have two with it.

Thanks....
Yeah, got that Ruby from couple weeks ago. The forest green is my favorite too (this thing came scary sharp), but the green herringbone is a beaut also!

The pommel on the newer model is thicker, you could probably tell from the first pic from the side view.
If you have a bigger hand that takes up the full handle, it will probably feel more secure.
I don't have a preference, but if I had to choose I think I would stick with the older model. That could change tomorrow. :)

a2vg1095,

You have the best collection and variety of Sneaky Petes that I have seen in one place. I like tapered tangs, so the Black burlap and Ruby burlap ones are my favorites of your collection. Great variety of colors there. All synthetics means you are my kind of guy.

Thanks for sharing the nice photos.

Phil
