I really haven't been paying attention to this thread, since the title seemed so broad!!
I intend to go through the thread sometime soon to admire all the fine specimens that are here. As far as letting everyone see my STAINLESS STEEL traditionals, I don't think it would be a riveting experience for most of you! ;) The vast majority of my knives have blades made of stainless steel (mostly Chinese 440A), and if anyone is really interested in seeing them, most can be found in the "Rough Rider and Related Slipjoints" thread.

But I do like to participate in as many threads as I can (even if my participation is sometimes a stretch :p), so I'll post some knives here that are 100% stainless steel (or very close to it; I don't think my Vic Alox knives qualify, nor does my Higonokami).

I'm going to show one. GT did a giveaway recently, and through the process of his giveaway I ended up going to buy the knife that I wanted from his collection. A Rough Rider Half Hawk.

I'm sharing because of this above sentiment. Used to be I wouldn't have been interested much in a Rough Rider, despite even people's rave reviews here on the porch. But I got one in hand, and was blown away. Walk and talk (at least on this knife) is on par with GEC, the snap is perfect and the half stops are authoritative. Fit and finish otherwise is on par with Case. Whether or not the 440A is something special I think is moot, because TruSharp ain't exactly special in it's own, but it works. And these edges came sharp enough to push cut receipt paper. Centering is dead on, no wobbles in the blades. And in fact, the centering was good on every model that came under my inspection.

It may be an import, and the merits therewith/without is a political discussion for a different place, but they're doing something right in this factory.
