not sure what to call this knife, may be a corn knife... or scalpel... or pen/quill knife? whatever it is, it is super thin and sharp!
what looks like patina is just weird reflections from where the blade rubs the inside of the ivory

From what I've read, the Solingen stainless is similar in composition to 440B, but whatever it is, it takes and holds a very good edge. This Bertram H&R is a fine example.
