Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Mine didn't come with any free Carhartt gear, but I'm a big fan of this Carhartt edition single blade sowbelly pattern as well. It keeps making it's way into my daily admiration piles and my pocket. I really like the as-ground finish on the blade and brushed bolsters. Nice barnboard bone as well. I'd like to find one or two more of these for backup and gifting.

You and I seem to like the same knives N navaja . I believe the Carhartt Sowbelly was a real sleeper. The as ground blade looks incredible, and, because the blades are not tumbled, the tips are not rounded off. I do not think these are available anymore.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the 2019 Case/Bose collaboration is a Sowbelly. You are correct about the advantages of this pattern Alan joeradza joeradza . If I could have Tony Bose make a knife for me, it would be one of these Sowbellys.

It seems we do, you have excellent taste!

I too, would love to see this knife made with a premium stainless steel, even if it was a limited run in 154cm like they've done with the trapper and backpocket. It would be more affordable than the Bose collaborations, although less refined.

Can the blade be pinched open on the single blade sowbelly?

I can pinch mine open, but it's not easy or comfortable. The pull and action really is perfect on this knife in that it's easy on the thumb nail, but open blade retention is strong. She's snappy where it counts.

Leslie Tomville Leslie Tomville Until that day comes you can satisfy yourself with the Tony Bose marked ebony version.

Leslie, Alan is right. This works well... until a sowbelly Case/Bose collaboration becomes available. :)

Thanks Guys, Those are tempting regardless.

I got my very first case knife today! My dad knew I had been wanting one for a while now. So he bought me one that he came across at an estate sale, BNIB! I absolutely love it! Thanks Dad! Not 100% sure what pilot test run is though. Would it be sacrilege to use this bad boy? Or can I start looking for things to cut?

Superb in every way. Carry it with pride.

Thank you Bugdoc Bugdoc

I have been all week! Not only is it my first case, but my first congress too. I am really really liking the angle it makes in my hand. Feels nice. Cuts nicer.
