Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Those are beauties, ED. I have a 6392 that I like a lot, too.

Thanks, Paul. I found that one at a local knife show, and along with another sowbelly I spent all my money in the first row of tables. Haven't regretted it for a minute!

This one arrived this afternoon. Nothing fancy, but very functional. A large stockman in CV and yellow Delrin. The pull is pretty much perfect. Good walk and talk. No blade wobble. No spring gaps.

I have to admit, as much as I love GEC, I really admire what Case does with some of the harder working knife patterns, such as their stockmans and trappers. They don’t try to be too elegant or use too much artistry. They design them for a good honest day’s work, at a pretty impressive level of fit and finish for the price. The steel may not be too hard or too fancy, but it’s nice and easy to touch up an edge at the end of a long day. I admire that. Their yellow Delrin CV line really exemplifies these qualities, and I love the looks.

You took the words out of my mouth. I love the fact that Case isn’t solely focused on the collector market and makes many affordable hard working knives.

Well glad I found this thread because now I’m even more excited to get my first case . Case xx single blade Barlow on order and Canoe 2 blade on the way
Well actually I had a case Bose collaboration once and loved it .
I know this will be a different breed though and still much looking forward to it .

AND I don't usually have to order what I want because so many places (well, farm & ranch stores, hardware stores, etc.) carry them, and I can inspect them first.

Another good point. It’s nice to not have to be on a preorder list for a year and a half or fight 50,000 people for 500 knives where the fastest internet connection or people with no life win out every time.

While we're on the subject I'll show some of my case working knives. I bought both of these new, around $50 a piece, which is a little less than the 82 dixie I bought recently that is also a working knife. I like all three and would buy them again but modern case knives really are a great value. Both cases are of great quality, no issues or quirks. With schrade and camillus gone case carries the torch of working class knives made by working class americans to be used by working class americans (and other folks around the globe who like a quality product).

Case on the job. They pay for themselves.
