• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I don't take pictures very often, but I have pics of a few of my Case's.

This was my fathers.

Some David Yellowhorse's

I've sold most of these Stag Trappers this year.

The fun part for me being, I was browsing late and viewed this thread from the bottom of the page up. I scrolled up to see this picture before seeing your username, and immediately thought: That has to be Peanut's older brother.

:)

-- Well-done, Dad, and thanks for the more expansive tale of your day and the knife's provenance.

Good idea for a thread. I've got a few Case knives. Here's a modified muskrat. This one was the Case-Tony Bose collaboration knife for 2004.

Here's three of my Case Swayback Jacks. Nice knives, lousy picture. I bet there's more Case knives out there.....

My latest acquisition, an unused 6292 from 1977, kindly given by Paul Hilborn

1978 is well represented:

New to old together, 2011 peanut and XX era 6292

And here is as close to a current family picture that I have. The appaloosa peanut on the left has gone on to greener pastures, and Paul's gracious gift of the 6292 is not pictured here.

I'm not a fan of the currant almost illegible Case shields, I like the 1970's shields best ( bottom right ) and the 1980 ( bottom left )

I agree with you on that one-- the clarity of the older shields points up the relative 'fussiness' of the newer ones.

Here's my own happy selection:

Case's mediterranean is in my sweet spot for "blue." :)

Case's navy blue is also mighty fine:
