One more old Case Tested XX for today, a substantial Sailor's knife, at just over 4"!! A Greenbone 6299, with a scary can opener, and big Sheepfoot blade! A macho knife!! Beartrap snap,
listen while I close it!!:eek::DCase 99 Rope Can 1.jpg Case 99 Rope Can 2.jpg

I believe that knife is second cut bone. I have the same knife. I like the size, and like whittlers. That whittler on a stockman frame is fairly hard to find.
Huh? Amazing if it is!!:eek: Hard to imagine what second-cut bone even means, but I don't doubt you!!:rolleyes:

My old and new Sodbuster Jr. knives. I got the top one from my Dad 50 years ago and I bought the bottom one yesterday using a gift card from my son. I am really happy with this new one. I have a lot of Case knives and this one is very well made. A nod to GT @5K Qs as it was his recent photo of the same knife that inspired me to buy it.

New arrival Limited Case XX Mini Copperlock Second cut jig bone:thumbsup:
Man is it nice ! Bought it blind online from a reputable dealer and oh did they send me a nice one. I was a little concerned about lock rock but wouldn’t of been a deal breaker because I know from my experience it’s pretty common. This one is rock solid in every area. Omg did Case up there game on this run and I’m beyond happy with this example. Even has a nice even grind on both sides. I can go on and on but I won’t lol but man it checks every single box in my book.

Very cool, the “father and son” gifting make those knives beyond special!:)

Question... Is the Rough Black handle thick like the smooth Delrin models, or thin like the jigged bone models?

My Delrin model (which is 50 years old so new ones may be different) is 13 mm thick. The Rough black handled one is 11 mm thick. That is the sum of my knowledge on this. :)
