Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I got a Case Magicians Tear Drop model knife. Unlike my Mini Copperhead it came in a Tin instead of a box. If you have not heard about these one side is red bone and the other is green bone. The idea is for magic tricks to make it seem like its all one or the other color and change back and forth. It works better when you have a second knife that is all one of the two colors to be able to hand to a person to "prove" its all one color. Its got a low pull which is nice since there is not enough of the blade showing to pinch it open. Its about the same thickness as the mini copperhead. For the size of the knife it feels slim.

Case seems to be hitting the mark lately, at least with me. A few years ago, I was always thinking if only Case would make this or that and lately its seems like they have been making what a like. Four years ago, I remember going to a Case factory outlet and going through a half a dozen to find one centered right and now when I go to the outlet, the centering seems corrected. Some colors seem to be hit or miss, but I guess that is part of appeal, each is a little different. The one thing I haven't figured out about Case is why they haven't reintroduced the Barlow???
Great looking knives in this thread!

Brand new Case small stockman in green apple bone. I wanted something different. Not another black or brown colored knife. This green might take some getting used to, but I like it already. And I love the small size. It disappears in my pocket. Exactly what I was looking for. [emoji4]

Very nice!

"Exactly what I was looking for" is always a happy thing.

Thanks, Pertinux! It seems all too often I get a knife and feel disappointed for some reason or another. Oftentimes it's because I didn't think the purchase through and didn't mull it over for a while. Impulse purchases don't seem to work for me. My purchases have been all over the map for the past year and a half. Finally I'm starting to realize where my interests lie and what I like. I'm still a knife noob and learning, but I'm having a blast! I see this small stockman as being a permanent part of my edc.

Yea I think that green would take some getting used to but I expect it will grow on you over time. its good you are enjoying it! Congrats

Yes, light, nimble and just the right amount of swell to the frame for a great grip.

Here's an oldie but moldy, a pre Eisenhower Pen, Tested XX in green bone, no pattern # just the letters AG1 stamped into the other side of the tang.

Easy day at home so a pen knife more than sufficed and this early pre Eisenhower Tested XX Case Pen in nearly 100 year old pocket worn green bone scales was well up to today's task of opening mail and cutting tape.

Look at how thin the frame is, barely thicker'n a 2 bit piece

Look at the secondary blade, as thin as it is someone still had the skill to put a swedge on it. It's so thin it flexes like a fillet knife almost 90* and springs back straight with no ill effect.

The back of the secondary is so thin it almost looks like a sharpened false edge

pretty knife! are you sure it's not stag?

Parker/Edwards 512 layer Damascus Mini Coke Bottle/Swell Center wrapped in stag... It needs to be re-etched to bring out the pattern, (it gets used a lot).

I realized I never put up the first Case knife I have ever had. I had other slipjoint knives before it, but it was my first Case. It is a Case mother of perl Eisenhower pen knife. My best friend gave it to me and its been too nice to feel right carrying it. The problem with that is I don't see it very often. Maybe I should actually carry it ;)
