This red Medium Jack in CV just came in the mail. First day carrying it today, figured Easter Sunday is a good time to break in a new knife.

I like the chestnut color a bit better, but the red is intriguing and I'm interested to see how it ages.

The black delrin medium jack was my carry knife for years before I became the knife nut I am today. The Texas Jack has been great and I love the CV patina and amber scales, but I always found the rounded bolsters and serpentine shape of the medium jack just a bit more comfortable in the pocket and visually appealing. Blade shape is almost the exact same size despite a quarter inch difference in handle length.

I have a question for you Case experts!! Is this a Case special edition, or a Case Classic??o_O I honestly don't know!!:(
Made in 1990, the more I fiddle around with it, the more it seems to be Queen-made!!
Wonderful Beast, it has nice Walk and Talk, double pull on the main, half-stops on the secondaries only, which are huge, and worthy of their own Jackknife each!! The knife is 4 1/2" long - big, with a nice sleeveboard profile! Any experts out there know?? #53091 is stamped on the back of the main.Case Big 1.jpg Case Big 2.jpg Case Big 3.jpg Case Big 4.jpg

Hi Charlie waynorth waynorth . I think its a Classic too. Does it have a split spring?

Interestingly enough, Jim Scott has released a knife just like that but with bone instead of stag under his Winchester line that he calls a Cattle Whittler and it has a split spring.

In any case, you've got a nice one there.
