Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

I love Case knives. I have a small collection seeing as my place was broken into and I'm only starting new 4 months ago. I don't know how to upload my pictures. My most recent purchase was a Case 25 cent knife.

I agree with you on that one-- the clarity of the older shields points up the relative 'fussiness' of the newer ones.

Here's my own happy selection:

Case's mediterranean is in my sweet spot for "blue." :)

Case's navy blue is also mighty fine:

Really sorry to hear that your house was broken into. Good luck building your new collection.

Most of the Buck 110 clones look so much like a Buck you need to read the tang stamp. The Case Hammerhead and Case Mako had a unique STYLE, they really look like a product of the 1970’s. The Case Hammerhead is a pretty good working knife too. The blade etch on yours looks nice, mine is very faded but the knife is still tight and holds a fine edge. OH

I picked up a Case XX Hammerhead 5159 LSSP this past week for a few bucks due to it being corroded around the ends and someone tried to buff blade and needs to stay away from a buffer till they learn more about it....Long story short I was able to clean the green corroded ends and rest of knife so it is decent.
Are there many Mako collectors out here? What's your take on collecting these?

BladeOwner72 BladeOwner72 I don’t collect Case Hammerhead’s or Mako’s per se, but rather use and collect Case knives in general. You could definitely build a nice collection around either one or both, they are excellent knives and have been around long enough to have plenty of variety to make chasing them worthwhile. I would think a focus on the large Case Lockbacks would make a fine and interesting collecting theme. OH
