Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Case 6292, '77 (inherited from HT) - fence, pasture.jpg

Here's my old beater of a '77 Texas Jack, and I'm super-proud to have it. It came down the line to me from my grandfather-in-law. About a 1/4-inch of the main blade tip was broke off. I shaped that down to passable and gave both blades a half-decent edge. I'm pretty taken with this 6292 pattern, I'm going to have to pick up one in better shape.

Case MM (Millenium) year 2000!!! 5347WH; I always think of these as Stockman whittlers because they are shaped like one when closed, But it would have to have more traditionally "Stockman" blades to actually be one!
Case has had spotty quality issues over many of the last years, but this is a Good'un!!;)Case Serp 1.jpg Case Serp 2.jpg Case Serp 3.jpg Case Serp 4.jpg Case Serp 5.jpg Case Serp 6.jpg

waynorth waynorth Charlie what a beautiful Stockman !
I agree about spotty quality but man when you get a good one it makes you appreciate it even more lol. As of late my last 5 or so out of 8 have been really good. A Couple though were not so much :)
My SnowBelly Buffalo Horn is at the top if not the best one I’ve received !

This Buffalo Horn Snowbelly just might be my favorite Case to date;) Definitely one of my finest examples from case without a doubt in every area.

Great knife....that buffalo horn is amazing...
I'm teetering on the edge of declaring the Case sowbelly stockman as my favorite knife ever. I also like their three spring stockman, but the sowbelly just feels better. My recently acquired (by gift) "yaller" delrin in CV is carried perhaps 90% of the time. I occasionally swap it for a different one, mostly out of guilt for all the others on my dresser that don't get carried... I have two in CV, the delrin and a stag, and one in oak, that is TruSharp. All three are great knives.

Case Tribal Lock in pocket-worn whiskey bone and CV. A few minor fitment issues, but a great knife overall, and one of my few lockbacks. This knife really displays the harmony of practical tool and elegant design/artistry that is the primary draw of the traditional knife for me. It is a piece of traditional art that I can put in my pocket and also use for practical purposes, displaying the touch of a Master's hand in its design. 20210428_182114~2.jpg
