Tony Bose received a handful of single blade trappers from Case for market testing, about the same time Bill Howard was walking across town to start a new knife company, in 2006. Tony gave me one to try out, after he put a great edge on it!! It is still sharp after these several years - a successful field test for sure, if not a marketing test!!
It has become a well-made memento for me! I wonder how they'd sell with this marvelous steel in them?? I wonder if it will ever get dull??

It sure feels like that sometimes! When I was buying mini trappers with wharncliffe blades it seemed like I was getting all the ones with blade play. I even stopped buying them for a while to break the string of bad luck.
I recently received one as a gift from John and it’s a little jewel! Bad luck over!
