Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Thanks, and I'd agree.

I've seen a few other Case knives with the Autumn Bone posted, and they look great as well.

I think the biggest disappointments with Case I have personally have been the Barlows. As a group, they have more issues than my other Case groupings, based on the examples I own.
I would probably agree with you. Love the Barlows, I think I collected nine of them and all but three have some degree of blade play ranging from very slight to 🙄. I have found however, for me, if I don’t wiggle it, and just use it, I don’t really notice it while using, and none of them are what I would say unsafe to use, just annoying! 🙄

Same with my six. And one of my Barlows is probably what I would consider a top example of what Case is capable of producing - only flaw I can find is three very tiny spots of light sneaking through between the spring and liner.

Posted this in another thread but have to post here for the record. Have a good weekend.

Back in the vintage days, did Case knives have more three-dimensional, rounded bolsters? In photos, modern Case knife bolsters look so flat and angular.

From my experience that's true. The vintage ones are nicely rounded.
