Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Anybody know if Case has made a mini copperlock with a wharncliffe blade? Poked around some and didn’t find anything. I really like a wharncliffe blade but I think the full sized one is a bit too big and I don’t think I would carry it enough. I think a mini copperlock with a wharncliffe would be fantastic.

They do have one. The 13053 for instance. Comes in a variety of colors. I used to have one in Osage orange. Sold it due to blade play but otherwise a fine knife!

edit: read your post again. I’m referring to a mini copperhead, not copperlock.

Stopped by a dealer in MO yesterday and picked up one for myself, and my 8 year old picked up one of her own. She promptly told me that her knife was better than mine. When I asked why she said "Because mine has three blades and yours only has two." Can't argue with that.

Those are two nice looking knives, and you can’t beat the logic of kids!😎👍

I'm curious do these start out as dyed bright red and darken as they age? I'm wondering if the newly produced Case's in "Dark Red CV" (which are actually bright red) will turn into this lovely colour in 10-20 years.
It's hard to tell, because the changes are slow, but most seem to fade slightly over time. Left in the sun, they fade faster!! I think most of the vintage Case Red knives started with a darker over-dye, so the red sometimes "brightens" over time!!

I guess that means Case really doesn't make them like they used to, with the closest recent offerings being the Crimson (purple/dark red with black patches) and Chestnut (dark orange/brown).

Fresh out of the wrapper, CASE CHESTNUT TEARDROP JACK TB61028W CV
Collaboration with Tony Bose based on a knife Tony Bose made for the movie 'Lincoln' ... or so I've read
Date on box is 10/13/15 (it was a Tuesday) ... this brand spanking new, almost 6yr old knife has a forever home ... well, almost forever ;)

These finally arrived today. Still have a box "enroute to destination" with no tracking data, out there somewhere.

Case Pocket Hunter single-blade in Ebony wood and a Pocket Hunter Limited Edition in the Autumn Bone. Overall good fit and finish, OK W&T with the Ebony being less snappy than the Bone, some daylight, blade on the Ebony is centered while the Bone's blade is slightly off (no rubbing), more wire edge than the Patriot Kirinite Mini Copperlock had. IMHO they both look nice, the Autumn Bone exceptionally so.

I’d say you did great, they look fantastic! 😎👍

Thanks, and I'd agree.

I've seen a few other Case knives with the Autumn Bone posted, and they look great as well.

I think the biggest disappointments with Case I have personally have been the Barlows. As a group, they have more issues than my other Case groupings, based on the examples I own.

Of course they don't make them like they used to. We have electricity now and many old dyes were not good for the environment :)
