Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

There is some speculation the variation you have (and similar Barlows) were contract made knives (possibly by Camillus). The nail-nick on the main blade is positioned forward, a sure sign the knife was manufactured that way. I have a Case Barlow built like your Jack. OH
Thanks for the information Bruce. I remember reading somewhere that Case contacted some production but I didn’t even consider that, makes sense.
Who cares?
Wow 😲 What a beauty 😍 👍👍👍
Is this new?

For the record, I just went and checked, and all my 35 1/2's have the pen behind the main with opposite side nicks. They're all '79s and '80's IIRC, so not too surprising that they're all the same.
Thanks Mike, yeah it is, had it for a few days. Got some patina going on it again. I think the seller must have tried to clean the blades off. The back springs are a bit proud when closed but flush when open. The action is great, strong pull and nice snap. 😊

bigfish64 bigfish64 Here are a couple of Case Barlow’s - same pattern number - the red bone a 65-69 with the same blade layout your knife has (pen in front, both nail nicks on mark side). The Delrin, a 1979 with the more typical blade layout (pen on back side of main and pen’s nail nick cut on pile side). OH
