Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Really love this Smooth White Bone Zippo Mini Trapper .

Case 1116, 1920-1940. Typically, this model has a small spey blade, but at some point, somebody did an excellent job modifying it to a very useful drop point blade. This knife has become one of my favorite carry knives.

That is actually an electrician knife frame.
It would have a screwdriver blade and a spear main blade. The notch is for the screwdriver.
Nice looking knife.

That's interesting, but I'm not so sure. Are you thinking my knife had the screwdriver blade removed? On my knife, the notch in the handle lines up perfectly with the blade's nail notch when closed. I figured it was a 1116 "Budding" knife that had its spey blade modified after it started out like this one I found on the internet. I welcome your additional thoughts or anyone else's. Thanks!

ETA: Found the same vintage Electrician's knife on the internet (shown below). It shares the same handle frame as the 1116 Budding knife, but the Electrician's main spear blade is longer than the blade on my knife, which would throw off the alignment with the handle notch. I'm fairly confident my knife started out as a Budding knife.

This 1983 m279 was obviously a Friday knife that probably should have been returned by the original purchaser, it needed a little help and it's still not great but it's passable now.

I guess I know why it just sat in a drawer , and it's a real shame too because they really hit the blades out of the park.
