Yes that description of credible clunker would not be misleading.
Useful knife!! Something discolored the handle material, but it doesn't appear to be shrinking!! I don't think celluloid!!
I wonder what it is?? Prototype Delrin?? Anyone know??

I'm going to go out on the limb and say DaVinci never designed that can opener.as for the yellow case,the way it is responding around the pins leads me to think not delrin. But as I'm prone to state I have been wrong a whole Lotta times.

Here's an interesting Sailor's knife; an issue version, marked W.R.Case & Sons, Bradford!! Early Rodgers bone, never used!! Before WW1 !!!
Marked "Made in U.S.A." in circle on pile tang!!
~1910 - 1914!!! Over 100 years old!!!
