Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Thanks! I must say I was very nicely surprised by it too and would fancy some other CASE knives clad in it.

I'm also getting restless about the release of the Teardrop, anybody got any more info please?

Regards, Will

It sure is a beaut Will! I have one seahorse whittler in damascus and it gets carried all the time. I like the way the knife lays in my hand with that big main blade deployed.

My passion is 70's and older CASE red bones, throw in a little Stag also;)

Yea - I have a little bit of the passion as well.;)

Thanks for posting all those red bone beauties!

I loved the fabled two sided shield "Lunch Pail" knife!!!:D

WOW, Paul! Some really gorgeous redbones you've got there! Thanks for sharing them with us. The jigging on the big stockman is amazing, and those cheetahs are to die for!

Here's my only remaining Case knife, since I always seem to choose one of my Cases when it's time to select a gift knife for someone. ;)
This is one I won't part with, until I maybe have a son.

Thanks Primble, I love the ones you post as well...

The so called "Lunch Pail" knife was a huge curiosity for me so I contacted the woman that's the historian at CASE and she said it was more than likely assembled by an employ years ago. Elliot (Blues) has the exact knife but with a 1964-1969 tang stamp.

I think there's some tie to "Utica" due to the bone covers?. Regardless it's an interesting piece. Someone elsewhere said it was a "fake" and the historian didn't think it was---not a regular production knife mind you but made from a CASE employee during his or her lunch break.

My opinion would also fall in the employee camp. Just think, if you worked at that factory every day, all the ideas you might come up with for your own knife.;)

Thanks Alex, I saw you post that GORGEOUS Trapper elsewhere here on the forum? I do love the vintage red bones and yours harkens back to the glory days!!!

I do like the "Swing guards" and every once in a great while I'll carry one in the back pocket;)

But seriously that Trapper with it's GORGEOUS red bone covers combined with the great lookin patina'd blades is certainly a keepsake:thumbup: The background of your picture is fantastic, I can't quite figure out what they are but I sure like em...

Covetous knives, all, but the bone on this one looks like the bone on the Black Box Winchesters (Utica bone) with Case red bone coloring. Thanks for showing it. I've never seen anything quite like it on a Case knife.

I turn my back and what happens???

A whole lot of stunning Red Bone turns up! :D Fine selection everybody.

Thanks, Will

This is the only Case I own that does not have CV blades. It is a seven dot I bought in 1983 at the BX on Carswell airplane patch.

deskill, I totally agree in regards to the covers, also the blades are almost spot on grind wise with some old Utica's I own. I had the email with the CASE historian for sometime and it eventually was deleted. I swear she said there was a link between CASE and Utica and how CASE had many of the Utica covers/blades in stock? Did CASE contract for Utica at one time? Might have to contact jon_slider and have him turn loose his mad search skills:D
