Sweet. If you know, how does it compare to the GEC's similar product? It looks more pocket friendly due to the smaller size.

I find the handle more comfortable on the Case, but I prefer the cap lifter on the GEC. They are about the same size closed length. I'm also a sucker for Case's long clip blades

I'm curious to know how long ago that was. I have a JCP metric socket set. I don't think they've sold anything like that for decades.

According to the Collector Knives site, the closed length of the Case is 3-1/2 in, and it weighs 2.55 oz. The GEC Beer Scout is 3-7/16 in closed, and it weighs 2.45 oz. If this is correct, the GEC is slightly shorter and lighter than the Case. I'll know for sure later today when I get the GEC.

Comparison: Case Mini Trapper Cap Lifter and GEC Boys Knife Cap Lifter

On my scale the Case weighs 2-1/2 oz and the GEC weighs 2-5/8 oz. However, the Case is slightly longer of the two. The F&F of both are flawless, as far as I can tell.. Both are beautiful and carry well in the pocket. I slightly prefer the sheepfoot to the muskrat clip, but I like the short caplifter of the Case a little better than longer one of the GEC.

Thanks a lot. They look great. I am a sucker for long pointy clip blades as well. That grain on the GEC is perfect.

This is a modern case that I like quite well, it’s well put together.
