Oh my!! 1971 , my birthyear! I need to find a nice 1971 canoe.
That stockman is a beauty.

I have been on a bit of a Case buying binge.

Patriotic Case Trapper with wharncliffe blade.
Does anyone know the background behind this knife because I have seen some that are similar in design with the flag shield and USA engraving and the blurbs on those knives said that they were SHOT SHOW exclusives, is this the same case? (haha...unintentional)

This is my latest Teardrop which came today. Whiskey bone with CV blade and a Pewter shield! Second pic is with its older Chestnut wharncliffe brother also in CV

My wife bought me a teardrop a few xmas's ago. I really like the knife, but i have been concerned about the tip being so close to being exposed. I can just see it raising up out of the handle in a few years. Just curious how the older one you got has held up in this regard?

That's a really nice one! I haven't carried and used any of mine long enough to sharpen it to the point of it changing how the point sets.

However, the chestnut bone one in my previous post with a wharncliffe blade was a tiny bit proud when I got it. I carefully filed a small portion of the tang and it is fine now.
