Let's see your Traditional Case knives, old to new.

Earlier this year I got the idea that I wanted a 6233 pen or 6333 stockman. I found one (don't really recall which) at a nearby hardware store, but it struck me as just a bit too small (2.625"), and I didn't like the looks of the brown synthetic covers. Part two of this story is that a while ago I saw a pocket worn red peanut at a different hardware store and I've been telling myself that if I ever got around to going back there I'd buy it if they still had it.

Well, today I stopped by the local knife shop. The owner had been off at a show and had done some trading. Looking through his new stock I found this year 2010 6327 small stockman in pocket worn red bone, absolutely pristine still with the factory grind and even the factory burrs ;). The mark side is gorgeous and the pile side is a bit light with quite a bit of white showing but still very pretty. At 2.75" it's the same length as a peanut but the clip and pen blades are smaller than those on the peanut.

No box, but $30 out the door. (Of course I forgot to wipe down the blades before taking pictures. I had just flushed it with WD40 and oiled it liberally with mineral oil.)

Related question: does anyone know what year they last made the '27 knives?

Case has done a nice job on this 2018 peanut (6220SS) in pocket worn Bermuda green bone with peach seed jigging. Yesterday my wife and I were going to some yard sales. After a lunch break we stopped at a new (to me) hardware store. They had a pretty good Case selection including this peanut, a stockman (6318, I believe) and a mini copperlock in Bermuda green. I've been wanting to add something in green to my collection so I just had to pick one up.

Notable features include:
Deep, rich color, highly polished
Mark and pile side covers match (!)
Smooth transitions between covers and bolsters
Flush pins
Dead centering of blades (better than the photo looks, it was taken from slightly off center)
Good points on both blades (better than my 2017 peanut)
Sharp out of the box
Almost 1/16" longer than my 2017 peanut (?)

Less than perfect:
One small liner to spring gap, only noticeable if held up to light
A bit of burr on both blades out of the box (typical, quick to fix)
Asymmetric grinds on both blades
