siegle, 9.75--becker, 9in--ferhman,9.5 & siegle,11.5
the becker just did'nt work as good for my hand, the 3v alloy in the ferhman will not get dull, but the ergonomics & design of the siegle on the left makes it a superior chopper. i have'nt had a chance to try the kukri as yet. the siegle kukri may prove to be too much knife for my 72 yr. hands,--we'll see.---dennis

Did you take the scales off when you stripped these? if so what is the process for that and reattaching them? something I can to at home with basic tools or no?

Man, that's old. Didn't see that one.

Well, if you're still wondering, nope, I left the scales on.

Nice knives! I really like that leather sheath. I have been trying to come up with a sheath for an older odd knife that is rather large and I think this style could probably work for me. I am going to attempt something similar. I'm sure it won't be as nice, but will be functional enough for me. Would be interesting to see the back of the sheath. I was thinking of something like an attachment for a dangler. The sheath would also work well with a baldric, right? Thanks for the post. It will point me in a different direction for my knife. Your sheath would probably work well for a machete as well. Regards

Thanks, it's quite a compliment coming from you Scott. Maybe I will be able to add one of your heavy blades to my knives this year!
