Don't have any sweet full customs yet, but I customized a few productions myself. :)

Nice junglas. It sure got some character with modification:thumbup:

This is my golok-like chopper. I hope that 10.5 cutting edge fits to this thread ;)

what's the new material on the handle? and how long did that take you? it's bada$$ :)

Thanks man! Those are the factory scales. I took a dremel and some sandpaper to them, that was my first time trying that kind of handle mod, but now that I've done it once I'd say it wasn't too bad time wise.

The hardest part was staining it! I didn't realize how non-porous micarta is, so I stained it with Feibings dye which started bleeding color, so I had to clean it with alcohol until the color stopped transferring, then I clearcoated it for good meassure! It's not quite the exact color I was going for now, but still I don't think it came out too bad. :)

Wow never thought a Junglas could get mod'ed like that! Great job with the stripping, handle groves, gimping, and that tribal design on the top of the handle tang. Most pimped out Junglas for sure. How did you carve in those tribal designs???

Please take more pics of that thing, I'm lusting!

Love the 7 & 8" knives.

Thanks man! I did the pattern on the spine using files. A round file and a triangle one to make a sort of "vine" pattern.

Since you asked, here are a few more pics. :) thanks for looking!

Man that's what I call some Junglas porn! Very creative and well executed mods. It's a Busse-fied Junglas.

I'm guessing you had the logo, laser etched? Don't tell me you did it by hand with files.... You probably did! Amazing!

how did u etch the logo and whatnot that deep?

ESEE creates their printing on the blade by not coating the printed areas. This makes a perfect mask for etching. I suspect he simply put the blade in an acid bath prior to stripping the coating off. Looks pretty good.

You got it! :) I just cleaned the logo and lettering with alcohol, spray painted the edge of the blade for protection, then soaked the whole thing (minus handle scales) in PCB etchant for about two days before stripping all the coating off the blade. The etchings turned out pretty deep.

Just took that knife out camping last weekend. I was pretty impressed with its overall performance! The blade now has a little more natural patina to it after all the use it got. I'm really liking this knife!

The extra deep etching compliments the nice file work on the tang and the cool handle notches. The whole package looks great on the large Junglas. Nice work.
