Hi Riz,
Interesting concept.
My preference would be to continue the Military model with a the current Walker Linerlock. Maybe with SPY27. And not disco the version. Sales will determine that decision.
We haven't had much of a positive response with 3V, especially since 4V came out.
I would prefer to not use a RIL on our regular version.
I'll watch the thread to see the opinions of others.

I don’t know how the economics work out with SPY 27 versus CPM Cruwear or CPM Magnacut, but I am quite happy with CPM Cruwear, especially in my Crucarta Para 2. I am just now starting to use CPM Magnacut (at 65 RC and 63-64 RC), but if it pans out to be very similar to Cruwear except very stainless then I’d love to see that steel in a Military. Both of those steels are a lot tougher than S30V/S35VN/S45VN even when run at higher hardness, and are easy to sharpen to very good edges. They have wear resistance in the ballpark with S30V/S35VN/S45VN, especially when run up above 62 RC. Again, I have no idea how the economics work out, but with many models the Cruwear versions have little to no increase in costs over the base steel, so that seems good for the consumer. But if the sales would be lower for Cruwear or Magnacut than SPY 27 then it doesn’t make business sense. I will say I should also try SPY 27 I guess before asking for alternative steels, I just have been very happy with Cruwear over the years and advocate for it a lot.
