It seems there's a lot of disagreement about flippers. I personally think they're the best folder type out there, but i see lots of people who don't like em

Only have one that I got in a trade, a Kershaw Skyline. Nice knife and I like it.

I would have to say the ZT, the JYD's, And The Skylines.
I do love the chill though! Lol.
 
I love 'em. The ZTs are the best I've seen, though I am seriously thinking about ordering a Kirby Lambert Snap. There are some nice looking custom models out there as well by some folks (though they will cost you upwards of a grand).

The thing about flippers is you need to keep them ina good 3 1/2" - 5" range, blade-size. That's really where they shine. Anything larger or smaller and it becomes less desirable.
 
I only have one and it is currently in my trade thread. It is the Kershaw 1840 Shallot. It is an assisted opener with some what of a recurse blade and I prefer a flipper with a straighter edge. I also like uncoated blades otherwise I might have a 0350 one!

CRKT SF's use to like them now hate them to bits

As soon as Mr.Zermeno gets done with Blade, I'll be placing my order for one of these two knives... which one is going to depend solely upon which he is more readily able (and willing) to make

If I can, i'm going to ask him to make me one with the Damascus bolster from the bottom one, and the polished blade, skeletonized flipper and clip and blue hardware from the top one.

Love them. As long as a knife has thumbstuds I'm good but I'd rather have a flipper.

I've had the skyline, rake, leek, and my favorite by far the ZT0560

I plan on buying the spyderco flipper when it comes out as well.
 
Why hasn't anybody mentioned the ZT 560/61 ? I have several others but it's the 1 I like best. I wish I still had my RJ Martin Overkill. What a rocket that is.

Really fast with a strong detent.....fantastic knife!
 
I am not totally sure, does IKBS make a big difference in folding knives. I know it doe sin the balisong world.
