Let's talk about the 500

Thanks for all the info. I didn't realize there was an ats34 honey bone model. That slipped past my radar.

Maybe I should just picket out in front of the factory for a custom shop option.

... Or, now that I think about it, I like what SK did with the s90v / blue micarta 110. How about a matching 500? I'd buy two.

Did you check SK's site to see if any of the Titan's were still available?
It would not take much to entice me to purchase a 500 with s90v blade. The blue micarta would do it.
John would buy 2. With us 3 that's 6. DM

I thought I would love the 500 since I'm such a fan of the 501, but it never really grabbed me. Something about the handle to blade ratio throws it off. I would really like to get my hands on a Heritage edition though...

I'm with JD on this one. I have a few but don't use them much. The 501 just looks proportionately better to me when I want a smaller knife.

A 500 in S90V? Sounds interesting. I would love to see one in CTS-XHP even more. That is a great steel for the kinds of things we do. It is a stainless D2 but it has properties other than corrosion resistance (very high) that make it perform better than D2.

I love that one too. It looks like it's be comfortable in hand. I really like bare head knives and wish Buck did more. Extremely nice examples Haebbie. I actually brought my 500 to work today to show a guy that I'm trying to get into Buck knives. He got his first 110 as a Christmas present because he likes the ones I have so much :thumbsup::thumbsup:

There are currently 2 Buck offerings of this knife made for Remington. The Bullet knife. Both bare headed, one with red wood handles the other w/ elk antler. Both have 420 blades. DM

My most recent 500 Due acquisition. New in box, red Micarta, script. Sorry for the crappy photo. I was in a hurry.
Put it away, or put it in my pocket?
