Same, not a 2 blade trapper fan. Happy to sit this one out. Good luck to fans of the pattern!
 
I’m in for a Remington. Hoping to also score a rosewood. 73 might be my favorite pattern/size combo. Looking forward to these.
 
Ive tried my darnedest to like (two bladed) trappers. I can buy them alright. I can fondle them well enough. I just have issue using them. I would really like to buy that bullet knife but if history serves, i wont actually use it.

Right there with you. There’s not enough difference for (my usage) between the two blades, so I’d pick a single blade or more varied multi blade. My Dad used to use the Spey blade to clean fish, and it seemed effective, but I don’t clean fish anymore.
 
I just need to vent (okay, whine) a bit here - it will only be one post, I promise:

I have the worst luck with GEC!! I sign up for the emails with distributors... and then often forget to check my emails and miss the sales, etc. When I do get it right, things go from "coming soon" to "sold out" 😢. I remember there being a standing inventory on sites a while back, but now everything just goes so quickly. The recent 71s, 05s, 83s...

I have been chasing my tail for the last 2 years, any tips and tricks?

I’m new to the knife world too but found that the secondary market here on the knife exchange will land you some nice ones at more reasonable prices than some other large auction site. Other than that you just gotta continue the emails and hope to grab em from retailers as they’re available.

I saw a post on here that mentioned it was an actual SFO for the company that now owns part of the Remington brand. So if that is true, I’m hoping this points toward a more sizable run. I think the post also mentioned that these would also be available at the regular GEC dealers. I’ll try to find the original post.

The only problem I see here is the lack of cleaning fish in your life.
