Lets talk GEC!

WOW, smaller than I imagined. A wharncliffe though, is much likeable regardless its size😊
For those of you that a familiar with a knife of this size, for small daily tasks isn't it plenty enough?

Thanks a bunch for the upload @bbfish
In fact I would probably say it’s a good knife to carry when discretion and an unthreatening knife are desirable. It’s a little small for any real food prep/fruit slicing, but it’ll open mail, boxes, or whittle sticks well enough. What isn’t as apparent from pictures is how thin the blade is, which makes it particularly pleasant, in my opinion. Mine doesn’t get much use, however. There’s too many sensible GECs in the 3.5-4ā€ range for me to want to carry the 06 as my ā€œoneā€.

I put all of my chips on the Stag 83. No wood, no bone, just Stag. And for the first time ever, I won the Stag lottery! The Stag is slightly thick, but even that works so well on a small knife. The pile side is not quite as nice, but close. GEC continues to amaze me! These 83’s are nice knives!

I really like mine, great watch pocket knife. The primary use for mine is as a cigar cutter. The thin little wharncliffe blade cuts a nice notch or it will easily remove the cap as well. šŸ‘

Looks like some of us are practicing sawcut Sunday:)

That's what one wants from stag. Nice score!

I love tiny knives. They are very handy for cutting threads or sharpening pencils.
I rarely carry one by itself, though. I like to pair one with something larger, to have a full range of options:

Seeing this elegant pairing makes me grieve at the wasted opportunity for an Ivory Bone Forum Knife....:(

Do you still use the GEC 18 in Osage at all?

Glad to see flooding didn’t cause any set backs. I deal with some supply chains in the Netherlands and Germany and their flooding has least of all caused some issues and delays. That obviously pales in comparison to the impact it’s having on the people living there. Hopeing for fast recoveries in Titusville and over seas.
