Lets talk GEC!

It appears that I will not need to worry about getting one of those even though I really like that pattern . I already have what I Need .

I really hope and really don't want cotton samplers.

I hope so because as someone in the ag industry in West Texas, cotton is important to me and so the cotton sampler is a special pattern. I really want a GEC or Case sampler but haven't been able to find one at a price I'm willing to pay so this would be awesome. I hope they aren't cotton samplers because my pocketbook is going to be upset with me because it's a run I'd try to get all the variations of lol

that is the year, not the pattern. The first 2 numbers are the pattern.

isn’t a Northfield with micarta pretty rare, and checkered micarta is the first of its kind?

I don’t know how to do pics on here, but I finally joined the GEC family on Christmas thanks to a member here. I picked up a #38 English Whittler in Bloodwood and a #59 Whittler in hummingbird acrylic. Both were new condition and little works of art.

I’ve dropped the angles on the blades to make them more suitable for whittling and polished the edges all the way through .5 micron. I’ve been carving with them and absolutely love them.

maybe GEC found out that they create too much waste with bones and some other natural materials.
better safe than sorry :D

Not too keen on the Cotton Sampler but I absolutely wouldn't mind scooping up a Pruner. I have an old TEW that gets a fair bit of use in my garden.

So a Pruner and a Cotton Sampler....
The pruner, I would like that as a gift for my father in law. The cotton sampler, i would like that for myself because of that bad ass looking blade.
