Lets talk GEC!

According to the production totals, the #73 pattern was made from 2006 through 2015, ten years in a row.
In my opinion, it is their signature knife.
I agree the 73 (or the 23) is the pattern that I would consider their signature knife. In terms of total quantities made, the 15 leads the pack and it isn't even close.

I think the 71s were the same model, same blade shape and handles too. I do not think the 73s and 15s were the same models each year, just the same frame with different blade types and different covers.

Which GEC knife patterns were repeated the most often in a row?

Here is the official ranking of consecutive years released...
1. 73 - 10 yrs in a row
2. 23, 48 and 53 - 8 yrs in a row
3. 15 and 65 - 7 yrs in a row

And fun fact...the most variations of any pattern in one year is the 15. They released 88 variations in 2013.

Who has a 52? Pics?😉

didn't realize they were making the 47 pruner in OD green textured micarta
I mentioned it in the 47 / 74 pruner, cotton sampler thread a couple of days ago. I don't think we should be surprised about GEC doing a one off in the middle of a run by this point. Not doing a one off might be the surprise actually.

Nice! What food item did you use to do this?
Gosh, good question.

Cucumber makes the blue best, espresso with foam, then harissa sauce in splitches and later Thai mango curry (because I couldn't find the harissa sauce again... ask my wife) for another coat of splotches.

I mostly do this when I am bored and viola! Knife art. 😉
