Yeah the jigged bone looks like the winner of the bunch. The “orange scramble” looks like it could have been a Halloween knife without that guitar shield.

GEC Cuban Cigar Patterns #53 & #54

I have been wondering the same thing. Since Charlie posed this very innocent question in the Let's talk GEC thread on 4/18, there has been these two announcements for a 53 and 54 release. Does make you think more may be in the pipeline.

The last I heard, they aren't able to get any stag of decent quality. Sambar has become scarce and very expensive when you can get it. We may have seen the end of it from GEC. It's almost getting as expensive as mammoth ivory.

At the last rendezvous I attended, Bill explained in depth the difficulty of sourcing decent stag at a quantity viable for a run. And then its not only the quantity, but quality he deems suitable and the sustainability of such sources. I fear it may be some time before he can stockpile a fair amount. But cocobolo, Bill seems to have access to a forest worth

It seems like more man-made material is being used overall. Tracking close to 50% of all covers are not natural.
