There might be one less - the 2AB is an 86 (numbered 861121), and if you're not counting Northwoods (the Madison), there's two less.I feel like I'm short a GEC Barlow...
With the 86 Barlow, now there's 4 GEC Barlows? Is that correct? The TC14's, TC15's, NF77's and the 86's? I feel like I'm missing one.. oh, and the 25's. Oh and the 2AB.. Okay, what am I missing now?
Edit after sleeping on this... here's one I forgot, the Madison Barlow.
Barlow list from GEC:
14
15
77
86
25
2 AB
Madison Barlow
Now what am I forgetting? I feel like there is yet again 1 more lol. Every time I think I have them all listed I'm left with the feeling I'm missing one. It's funny because seems like not too many years ago we were hard pressed to get GEC to do any Barlows till Charlie and Mike started some SFO's.
Okay, thanks. I didn't recall the 2AB as an 86. Personal preference, but I consider the Northwoods branded GEC products part of GEC, so I'd count the Madison. I guess that's it then. I'm still left with the feeling there was something on a 78 or 77 frame that was in the Northwoods line that was a barlow. I'm off to google searchThere might be one less - the 2AB is an 86 (numbered 861121), and if you're not counting Northwoods (the Madison), there's two less.
The only reason I don't count Northwoods as GECs is because if I did I'd have to sell my houseOkay, thanks. I didn't recall the 2AB as an 86. That's the one I just couldn't think of and my Google searching wasn't coming up with it because Remington branded. My brain was telling me there was maybe another Northwoods...but this was it. Thank you!Does the Remington Daddy barlow count?
what's better about a standard production model?i think the remington grand daddy barlow is its own model. i really wished it had been a standard production model.
Gotcha. I'd appreciate some variety there as well. It's one of my favorites, and not just because I was actually able to get a couple.birdsbeaks there is nothing “better” about regular production knives from GEC, and I assume
mrknife is just wishing the Granddaddy Barlow model would have been offered in more cover selections like wood, micarta, etc.
