You inspired me to go check to see if the Rug was still available... sadly it is not lol. Unfortunately the Christmas and Easter posters are gone too. Since the Boy Scouts of America decided to go after GEC for the Beer Scout knives, I'm left wondering if someone didn't care much for the Easter Bunny with a basket of pocket knives poster... anyway... the exciting part... the ILLUMINATOR is still available!!!!!

That's a surprising place to see the blade fail. I thought it would have failed at the tang or a sharp corner that would cause stress concentrations.

No worries, it was 4 years ago. I have replaced the knife and now I also carry a Silky pocket boy 170. I have not felt the need to baton with a knife since.

I learn by doing, that day I learnt what 1095 sounds like when it fails. It's a sound that hits your core, that I can say with certainty.

I'm a fan of experimentation (and breaking stuff) but I just can't see myself batoning anything (unless I join up with a marching band ).

I've got a Husqvarna axe that's positively desperate for some action and I don't think she'd ever forgive me if I selected a knife over her in a moment of such need.
