They used a wood that was the only time I have ever heard of it being used on the 62 courthouse whittler, I believed they called it palm wood.To the best of you're knowledge, can any one recall the most exotic or unique wood GEC has used? In my collection that would be the mount of olives

Not sure that they’re the most unique but the ancient kauri wood, tulip wood and a bit more used king wood are pretty cool.To the best of you're knowledge, can any one recall the most exotic or unique wood GEC has used? That Canoe is really nice. Due for some #16's.View attachment 2306659
Exotic? Not really. Unique? I guess.
This is tulipwood from 2012 that I believe was only used that year on 2 patterns ever. I really enjoy it.
The mount of olives wood were all incredible looking. IMO

Thank you Tim! The few I've handled were really well made too. Good daily carry but I'm partial to single spring 2 bladed patterns so yes another run would certainly be appreciated. That Canoe is really nice. Due for some #16's.
I don't have a picture of it readily available, but I have a 2021 GEC Tidioute 735221 African Rosewood Scout Trapper. So, it was used in that run at least! I must admit, yours has much prettier color and grain pattern than mine!GEC made 50 #235108s in Bubinga, an "African Rosewood", fairly rare!!
Has it been used on other GECs???View attachment 2306754
