The sad truth.

That's the problem with trends. There's nothing inherently valuable about a brand name - a cutlery outfit is only as good as the last knife to leave their production floor.

But get a bunch of goofballs together that confuse their own self worth with the brand-name possessions they've acquired and all bets are off.

I like quality traditional pocket knives. If GEC quits making them, I'll find an outfit that does. I'm agnostic as to brand name, country of origin, what people on social media think about it, etc.
