I really like the Dixie Stockman, it is a most excellent pocket knife.

I didn’t know there were 82 liners/bolsters already made. If GEC going to make multiple stockmans this year that’s great.

2024 the year of the stockman?
2 fantastic bits of kit.
I believe If you buy a membership you can post pictures easily.I would love to post more pictures of my GECs, but I still can't work out how to do it. This Imgur thing is horrid and I see it hasn't posted my picture properly, just a link.
I realise it's my fault for not understanding computers etc, but is there a simple way?
Yea look at membership levels then it’s just a matter of selecting photos and adding them.I would love to post more pictures of my GECs, but I still can't work out how to do it. This Imgur thing is horrid and I see it hasn't posted my picture properly, just a link.

But it's not a generic cowboy, it's a cowboy from Dixie Stock Knife art.
And they usually use specific pictures for different patterns and even varieties.
The genius of Mr. Bill Howard at work. When have you ever known GEC to be consistent in these things? They’re sort of consistent…. Until they aren’t. Because I pretty much guarantee that they care wayyyyy less than most of us. To them it’s a fun little exercise to mock up an image and give a couple of hints as to what might be next. To us, it’s something much, much, much deeper and more profound, apparently.
Bill has had a lot of trouble with it in the past!! It is subject to warping under changing humidity and/or heat!!Does anyone know why GEC rarely use horn such as buffalo and ram? I think they make beautiful covers.
Lot of enthusiasm for the 66 Stockman here, never owned one myself but have heard a lot of people comment on weak W&T. If they do release another run it might be an idea to BEEF up those springs a bit....?
What I'd really go for is a scaled down version of the 82 Dixie- Dixette if you likeSame great blades but just a bit more pocket practical.
Dream on....it's the only way![]()
