Lets talk GEC!

I don’t see the word sharpen in the article. It does say "wear out" however, they were sharpening them quite often. Most likely because the dynamite was dulling them quickly.

No doubt the "dynamite" knife is a Unicorn of traditional knives, made by one or very few cutlers, for a very specific customer, for a very specific task. Everyone made a stockman you can get those anywhere, I'll go with the 4 sheepsfoot blades myself. I'm going to carry it with my 53E so I have 6 sheepsfoot and a screwdriver in my pocket. 😆
Phew for a minute there I thought you might go over the top. 😅

Someone should ask Charlie if we can have a 4 blade HJ with just 4 punches. 🤭

wlfryjr wlfryjr Another great knife for the catalogue of taste there Lyle :cool: The LF looks very at home in its snowy garb :thumbsup:

Thanks, Will
Hello and thanks Will to you.
I had to ask a baseball forum member who one of the autographs were. Two were famous pitchers and the unknown was a sports photographer.

Hopefully I can get a relative to sidle up to that LF shortly.

Cool photo, Lyle! :thumbsup::thumbsup::cool:

I think I see only one of the signatures on the baseball, but it looks like it could be Sparky Lyle! That's a great autograph for YOU to have! ;)🤓

I would like to see the natural bone in a smooth bone style without the concave. Seems like that darker color has always been jigged, other than the 77 barlow that was more smooth than sawcut. I think this 23 from 2020 would’ve been an hit in smooth bone but now that I look at it again in the 23 it’s quite appealing in it’s natural state just a little to big to be carrying around all day in the jumbo 2 blade. Ah, that reminds me they did a smooth version in the 74 for AAPK… I’d be all over that look on this 93 run.

I had one of those 77 barlows. The saw marks were VERY faint, I remember that being a complaint at the time.

White/ivory bone is lovely and ages well. (though I prefer it with steel liners to minimize the verdigris tint, but it's not a deal breaker)

Love me some white bone r8shell. That WJ is looking sweet. Had a chance to snag a WB WJ… thought about it for a sec… been kicking myself ever since.
