I'm a big fan of multi bladed knives but feel some patterns just lend themselves to single bladed,I feel the 47 and 93 are such patterns.would have been interesting to see a different blade shape on this frame, or maybe a secondary added
I agree!!!I'm a big fan of multi bladed knives but feel some patterns just lend themselves to single bladed,I feel the 47 and 93 are such patterns.
I think you're right about that. Pics of the micarta are available, too, but I didn't grab those. Is that first pic the natural bone?
I’ll be sad if I miss getting the two bone versions. Is that first pic the natural bone?
I agree Sir !!! I am glad that I took care of that Ball of Wax back in 2019 .I would think alot of people missed out on the 2019 run since they were sold quite quickly, and you seldom see them on exchange,as for the lambsfoot that's a whole different ball of wax.
You were noticeable in your absence that year Joak .im still kicking myself for not going to that rendezvous, otherwise id have finished the set!
Right, or at least an Ivory colourNatural bone to me is…well natural. Undyed and an off white.
Natural bone is what they called the rust orange 2AB if I remember correctly. It refers to the uneven shape.Right, or at least an Ivory colour
What they're showing is dyed bone rather like the Frontier type and I'm not interested in that very much. If they don't make an Ivory Bone version they're missing a big opportunity in my view. It's a wonderful material really ageing well.
Looks like it will have to be Natural Micarta then unless they do make the undyed bone version
When you think what Charlie's White/nat/ivory bone LF looks like....![]()
That's entirely fair, and I would definitely agree with those patterns, two blades on a 47 would look odd to be sure. Though I still contest a different blade shape would have been neat to see. Either way I'm not complaining that the 93s are back, it's the pattern that got me back into collecting!I'm a big fan of multi bladed knives but feel some patterns just lend themselves to single bladed,I feel the 47 and 93 are such patterns.
she probably did that on purpose..... wives do that kind of thing. My wife put my bunny through the washing machine and the dryer. Still good nick!
The google said:Any ideas what kind of green 'Winter Green' is? It will be gracing the Northfield Jigged Bone version - it's not a colour I recall GEC using before but someone here might know of it...
