Lets talk GEC!

I picked up both the single and 2 blade versions, the pulls are 7-8, big knives with big springs, I can pinch the large blade on each but you need a strong pinch. I love them, such a beast of a knife.

I picked mine up hot off the assembly line at GEC and haven't been able to put it down since.

Ready to chop a tree with that thing!

Holy moly thats awesome. That clip secondary is fantastic. How is the pull on that secondary?

Thanks! The pull on the secondary clip is just on the edge of nail breaker territory. I'd say a 7. Now the main spear is really pinchable but if for some reason you decide to use the nick... your nail is going to chip. I'm not sure what I plan on doing with it yet but it's a very fun and impressive knife.

Here's a spring comparison. A whole album worth of pics can be found by clicking here.

Macchina, I almost woke the baby from laughing at that! I've never gotten into the elephant toe/sunfish/dinner plate hobo myself. That thing is just a monster!

It looks like an image whose aspect ratio is messed up, squashed vertically so it looks too broad horizontally, but then you look at the hand and you know it's not. You actually carry this thing in your pocket?!?

Thanks, yes a Mustang, I think only 50 made. The primitive bone looked different on every knife, made a very unique Rendezvous knife.

Great haul Augie. Those whalers are impressive. I like the bony protuberances for the insertion points of tendons and ligaments used in the covers. I doubt I would use one though. Those 92s are gorgeous. Do these brass lined ones have wrap around springs as well. Also is the nail nick more unobstructed on the Tideoute?
Thanks

The nail nick is pretty easy to get to on the Tidioute and the springs wrap around with the brass liners. It's such a graceful pocketknife.
