I saw that, but the preorder price was too rich for my blood, and I'm not in need of a sheath.
I am in agreement. I really wanted to get a Mudbug, have been on the mailing list for awhile. But I can't fathom why they are doing a combo-only preorder. I have no use for a sheath, I can make my own. But it effectively put the knife out of my typical price range.
Maybe next time. Or maybe GEC will do a run of Bull Busters, which would be awesome.
I like em big or small but not so much in between. Basically anything that is 77 size and bigger or 25 size and smaller. What's your ideal size for a jack knife?
3 1/2,3 5/8,or 3 3/4?
We are in serious need of a production schedule update. We know to expect barlows and 35s but dang it I want the particulars!
You're our man on the inside today, Colin! Hope you score some great knives, and I can't wait to hear your report.
Maybe you'll find a unicorn today!
...
Just a note, Charlie's SFO Barlow (seen here in red bone and black wood) will have an etch. These two were so hot off the cookie sheets, that last detail was not yet applied!

Been checking out the new pics in the Barlow thread, looking good!
Are the new TCs going to have a blade etch, I wonder?
ETA: I mean, I can see that they don't have one in the pics, but I thought those might be pre production made in time for the big weekend.
At the rendezvous, was there any info about the odd looking thing at the "end of the hall"? Is it a flash light?
Thank you![]()
GEC, or more exactly Farm & Field Tool, actually does now have a flashlight in the line. It is US made by Princeton Tec, and is waterproof and has a caplifter.
