Lets talk GEC!

I wouldn't go quite that far :D, but it does remind me of the Powderhorn, or Toothpick which has its fans, but just doesn't seem to be the most popular pattern around here.

This is a good (more diplomatic) way to say it. And the thing is, I'll bet that knife is a great cutter!

That's exactly what came to mind the moment I first saw it as well. I find it kinda funny because if you list a 38 Whittier on the Exchange it last about 5 minutes

I think there is a peking order for main blade shapes. The Turkish clip seems to be a bit of a stepchild. People like it on the 48 and on some stockmans, but it doesnt seem like many people would pick it over the full size. Oh well. I'm just one guy talking about what I think looks good.

The Barlows on the other hand - clip master and coping secondary - maybe not "traditional", but definitely one of my ideals.

56’s are starting to ship. Pheasant Feather heading to distributors today. I like the looks of this pattern.

So the 77 run is definitely 2 blade only?

#77 reserve is up, but not open on CK's website. Wood covers are ironwood; my favorite. My wife wasn't exactly thrilled when I told her about this knife as a gift. My purchasing last year (modest by BF standards, but much more than I'd ever done myself) has convinced her that I'm obsessed, it seems.

If this run passes me by, I'm sure you fellas here will keep me consoled with plenty of pictures :D;)

Also worth noting that the matchstriker pull will be present on these.

And the wood looks like it is going to be Ironwood. Fantastic.

2 blade only?

THIS^^^:D

Oh man, I was reading the production schedule as (single) clip and (single) sheepsfoot. But the description on CK clarifies.

I thought the same thing at first. But at least the smaller coping blade will allow the clip to be pinchable. I don't think that could happen with a full sheepsfoot.

I'm with you! There is a lot to be excited about with these, including the stellar cover options.

I'm definitely in for a micarta and a sawcut. The question is whether I'll be able to resist the ironwood. So much goodness in this run. It better be a big one.

Well dang. I've been wanting a full clip/sheepfoot combo for awhile now, but will have to keep waiting.

That being said, I'm sure these will be amazing as always, and I will be part of the scurry. Without the full size sheepfoot, I won't be so disappointed when I miss the cut though.

Still like 'em though ;)

I know the allure of a single blade, BUT this blade combination is really, really nice as a user. There's not much you couldn't do with this knife. (Hence why I love single spring [pens, half whittlers] - you get the same utility but with the slimness of the single blade knife.)

I agree. From a usability standpoint, this one will be great.
I'm still excited for them to come out and hope to get one if I can.

I just prefer having a "clean" handle when in use generally.
