Lets talk GEC!

then that would be this?

No... That would be like the bottom kinife, shown below.
We were taking about a medium, like the top knife, shown below.
It would fall in-between the Case Swayback (small) and the GEC Ramsfoot/Lambsfoot (large).
Sorry, I don't have a Case Swayback any more for comparison. I found it to be too small.

I believe there are multiple knives hinted at in these pictures, just my take.

I hope that is the case. I’m not a huge fan of knives with a single straightedged blade. I seem to be in the minority In that regard.

If GEC is hinting at three knives, what patterns? The horse is probably the #74 or a new curved trapper pattern maybe? The snake would be a #47, or some swayback variation. What about the sausage platter? I have no idea what they’re getting at with that one.

I'm doubling down that the next knife (after the 33s) is a #35 frame and that one of these pics refers to that. I'm betting a caplifter will be one of the configurations.

I agree with the premise that the 3 pics are for 3 different knives.

I also agree that nobody's going to know for sure until GEC is ready for us to know. But it is sure fun speculating.

I received a GEC Viper in a trade a while back and although it's a beautiful, valuable knife I just don't like it that much. I think a more "mediumer" sized swayback might be just the ticket. I do prefer the size of my Viper CK Edition Swayback.

Can anyone do a viper-Ramsfoot side-by-side? I swear the handle is roughly the same size, the shape is slightly different.

I wish that GEC would get the blade on their Viper to sit as low at the Case. I know that it may not be possible because of the size of the blade, but it would be nice to have a little bit less tang exposed when closed.

I think there might be a couple of factors.

Case is known to "under-blade" their knives - making the blades more slender to avoid blade rap and such.

There is also a sharper curve to the frame with the Case versus the Viper, which I think leads to being able to fit more blade in the well.
