Let's talk Northwoods

Looks like a great size, love it!

My guess is that this one is probably a fairly rare bird -- a small stag lockback from the Dave Shirley era. My hunch is that this may well be one of Dave Shirley's early Northwoods efforts, while transitioning over from MSA -- perhaps using up some remaining stock of Marble's oval shields along the way. I am all ears if anyone has any other ideas. The lockup on this little guy is absolutely rock solid, and the notch for the index finger is comfortable and allows for a good grip. Great size that slips easily into the pocket...

That is very cool. I have not seen one like that before.

Always nice to see a Northwoods run. I just hope they worked on the pull since the last Hawthorn run, they were a bit weak.

Correction, that was the Ocoee that I was thinking of with the weak pull.

Black burlap in the teaser picture. So I will guess brown burlap. Mammoth tooth seems to be a standard high dollar offering in these runs. Blue camel bone, cocobolo, iron wood, hopefully Osage orange and stag are possibilities. A compliment of micarta makes sense. Wish I knew what was my #1 going in.
