Let's talk Northwoods

I spent too much time trying to figure out why my checkout wasn't working for the camel bone I had in the cart. By the time it told me it was no longer in stock, I tried to grab a blueberry burlap but it was too late 😝 Oh well, I wasn't too set on these anyway. I'm happy for those that managed to land one! They seem nice!

My streak of failing to secure a folding Northwoods knife continues. I really thought I had one this time. Had a camel bone in the cart, Apple pay ready to go, lost it while the payment was processing.

Oh well. Maybe next time. To all those who did score, congrats!
 
I kept refreshing the straggler page and I only saw three knives. Never did see the saw cut blue heritage Jack straggler. First thing I saw was the camel bones. I went to page four thinking I might have a better chance. One got bought out from under me during checkout. Never did see any of the micartas. After my first failed attempt it was all over. Congrats to those who managed to get one!

Same, I was in the same boat. Congrats to those who got one
 
The numbers on this seemed low. Only 3 total handle options, last HJ run there was 5? We only had 5 pages of camel bone to pick from.

The last 2 years they have done a folder drop then a fixed blade drop a week or so later, I wonder if we will see a 2nd drop in a week or so of folders, since last year was the last year for Fall Creek. Dare to dream....
 
I got a blueberry burlap, this almost makes up for missing out on the heritage jack. I wish he wouldn't list the camel bone individually, that makes it really hard to get one of those. I wanted the blueberry micarta, but I imagine it's frustrating.

I have noticed that a lot of the Camels look like they have cracks, but there is no way they send out that many knives with cracks. I'm guessing that's just sub-surface character in the bone? Or is it stabilized/filled?
