I have just finished this chefs knife, .214" thick 5160 H.C. spring steel and Goncalo Alves, 1'&11/16" long overall and 7&1/2" tip to wood. looking for $80.00 shipped in the U.S., my paypal email is [email protected], contact me before paying.     When i cut it out it is almost exactly the opposite blade shape, when i hammer in the taper it changes to pretty much this.

    You are now on the list. I have used micarta and faux ivory, but i normally don't, it would involve a small additional expense that i would want to pass on. Or, you could send me your own material and get exactly what you want, we have some time to figure it out. I usually buy my wood by the board foot, keeping expenses down. P.M. me!
