If you had to choose one knife for the rest of your life with a $400 max limit, which would you choose?

0777m390, small sebenza.

Honestly, I would probably go for one big and one small. ZT0560 and a BM940

$400 is a strange price point. It's above almost all standard production knives but just below or at the bottom of the higher end ones.

I have lots of knives that would be good choices but if it had to be my only knife for a long time I would want to pick something that I thought would be very durable, AND have the characteristics that I like. Of the knives that I own right now, I would pick something like the Benchmade 913 Stryker or Benchmade 730 Ares, or maybe Benchmade 760. With the price limit given, I could find and buy the M390 Ares.

Of the knives that I can dream of, I might pick the rumored upcoming Ti Para2.

Strider SNG, as much as Id love to say my small sebbie my SNG takes it in ergos and brute force.

Would have to be my ZT 0301 just because I already know what abuse it has had to take so I know it will always be around!

If we are talking fixed blades it would have to be an ESEE 4!

Fixed blade--benchmade 162
Folder-Spyderco Gayle Bradley

For $400 I'd rather buy a gun.

950 Rift and/or ZT 0121. With $400 I could squeeze my Street Beat in there as well.

Even hypothetically the thought of only one knife seems to irk us knife knuts. At least it does to me.

Don't even like to think about this, but if I could only have one it would be my ZT0600. But I would still sneak in my walnut handled Victorinox Fieldmaster!

Probably a Victorinox Camper at only $20 or a Farmer at $32, then use the remaining $350+ for something else.

Nice one leghog! My forever knife would be, hands down, my sebenza25. Sorry, - it's an @ss-hair over 4, but you wanted
forever... :)

If only one knife for life, the Vic SAKs have a lifetime warrantee (and the company will out live me) so unless I lose it I'd know I have a solid knife for life. Consistent quality and great value for money. Can't go wrong.
