I'm in the mood to buy something. I need more gun and knife stuff like I need a hole in my head, but I have that urge. Any off the wall suggestions?

Any of you folks have experience with Surefire lights?
Thinking about picking up the 6PX Pro. I want a light that is bright enough to reach out a couple hundred yards, and has a dimmer setting to walk by while in the woods.
Also, American made is a must for me.

If you're thinking flashlights, please buy a Sunwayman V11R so I can see some cool pics of it. That's one of my grail lights (it's not THAT expensive, but for a light it is a bit pricey).

Neat looking flashlight. I like the Fenix I have because it's nice and bright but runs on regular ole AA batteries. That's a good feature, IMO.

Ac700, you should buy one of the new Wicked Laser 1 watt lasers...

Made my mom dinner for her birthday tonight. She wanted asian style shrimp w/ noodles. I added chicken too, so stir fried shrimp & chicken w/ noodles.

Just checked out those lasers crimsonfalcon. Not sure what I would need one for but any laser that can't be used for a gun sight because its too powerful has to be fun!!!

An axe.

(but seriously, don't go there because now I'm obsessed and we seem to have similar tastes...)

I have an axe or two and I do watch ebay once in a while for them. I'm going to be out of town today, so theres no telling what I might end up with. I'm thinking about a Fallkniven F1 if I can find one and then I'll be in some sporting goods stores, so guns could happen. I gotta buy new boots today, but that'll be a trip to the Redwings store.

well those'll setcha back. I need a pair of steel-toe boots, finally. The military surplus stuff that's been showing up locally has all been in baby sizes.

Yup, but you know what they say, buy once cry once. I have two pairs of Redwings right now, but one got ruined by a burr on a seat frame in the truck I drive. I rested my foot up against it and didn't know it was there. A few days of that and it ate right through the leather, otherwise I woulda gotten a few more years out of them and they were almost 4 years old. The other pair is I think almost 5 years old and are still comfortable as heck, but they are shot shot shot. I've tried other brands, but just haven't been happy with them.

Steel toes suck.......glad I'm not required to wear them anymore. I had a pair of Timberlands that were really comfortable, but they didn't last very long. I think I had three pairs of Wolverines and the first two pair were ok, but the last pair fell apart after three months, so I gave up on them.

Redwing makes steel toes now. I think they do at least. If they are marketing themselves as "work boots" they SHOULD have steel toes.

I have a set of Rocky boots I just picked up for camping/hiking.

I want steel toes for axe and chainsaw work. I don't do a ton of it, but do some every year. They ought to last a long time. A friend of mine swears by his redwings. He has two or three pairs, and I gather they can be re-soled too.

The wood splitting is often tossing on the shoes, going out back, splitting a wheelbarrow's worth, and coming back in. I might just want some pull-on steel-toe boots, but those are hard to get in a good fit.

Yup they have steel toes too. Never worn a pair, so I'm not sure how the steel toe feels on them.

Daizee, if you aren't gonna wear them a ton, check out the Timberlands. They were comfortable, but didn't last more than a year for me when I worked for Coca Cola. Sounds weird, but that job was very hard on boots.
