It was not long after coming to the Porch that I was led to try a couple of Rough Riders. My experience with traditional slipjoints was limited to a few Case specimens and a handful of SAK. The conventional wisdom on the RRs said "good value for the money".
My first impression was that they are very nicely made, on a par with more expensive knives. There were a couple of clunkers among the first few, but I have seen the overall quality improve in the relatively short time I have been buying.
Now I have way more pocket knives than I will ever need. Quite a few of them get a lot of pocket time, but there are even more on my shelf that never leave it. Since they don't take up a lot of space or tie up a lot of cash, there seems to be little point in moving them on.
