Liking the DKPK

Hi Rob,

'Tis an interesting piece, historically and politiclly.

Germany has now outlawed one hand locking folders. You might see some odd Spyderco's coming out for Germany in the future.

Is it one hand locking, meaning two hand locking is fine? Or just no locking, and no one hand opening?

From what I understand, it's an either/or proposition. You can carry a one hand opener as long as it does not lock, or you can carry a locking folder that takes two hands to open. One of each would probably be fine too. :D You just can't carry one knife that includes both those features.

I guess I'll stick with non-locking then. I can open a Buck 110 with one hand. :D

Welcome to BF kankryb, hope you like it here.

"6.9 cm max" is that the blade or the cutting edge?

To sticf. 6.9 cm is up to the police, the law just says 6.9 cm. :barf:

You have got to love laws that are well written in plain language.

I was thinking about picking up the DKPK but after seeing the picture it is just too close to the size of my UKPN. I do not need another slip joint of that size. Especially one that is hard to open one handed.
